About The Position:


The Diversified Assets Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the credit union's portfolio of substandard commercial loans and participations. This role involves analyzing and assessing the performance of diverse asset classes, developing strategic initiatives to mitigate losses, enhance revenue, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manager will work directly with members of Senior and Executive Management and requires considerable independent judgment and initiative.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Diversified Asset Officers or analysts fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and professional growth. Provide training and guidance on best practices in commercial lending and asset management.
  • Structures, reviews, prepares and presents complex, written credit presentations including modifications, deferments, liquidation and bankruptcy.
  • Ensures timely, accurate completion of quarterly watch list reviews, delinquency reports, and collection efforts for all underperforming loans.
  • Monitors areas of responsibility for efficiencies, including write up quality, turn times, and collection efforts and ensures appropriate procedures are in place and adapted as needed
  • Inspires collaboration by proactively working across departments to ensure structural integrity of credits throughout loan life cycle and appropriately mitigate risk.
  • Oversee the diversified commercial lending portfolio. Monitors the performance of the portfolio, analyzing trends and making recommendations for adjustments to optimize returns and minimize risk.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to diversify the asset base and enhance the profitability of the commercial lending division. Collaborate with senior management to align commercial lending strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the commercial lending portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including loan officers, risk management, and executive management, to ensure effective communication and alignment of credit administration activities with the institution's overall goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders including participants, investors, auditors, attorneys, regulators, and other industry professionals.
  • Participate in Commercial Lending Committees, responsible for providing information and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in special assets required to include the following: Analyzing financial statements, Negotiating with borrowers and creditors and Restructuring and liquidating assets

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
  • You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Anything above 40 pounds requires a team lift.

 

Location and Travel Requirements

 

Greater Nevada Credit Union's Remote Location (excluding California, Colorado and Ohio)

United States

  • Located in an idyllic small community in beautiful Northern Nevada 

 

Compensation & Benefits


  • $105,000 - $150,000 per year
  • Compensation is dependent on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents
